Rick's earliest influence in music comes from playing soulful gospel in the small church he grew up in. Rick has played with musicians like: Jeff Britt, Jeff Thompson, Duane Wilson and Darryl Shealy to name a few.
Bass Players who have impacted Rick's style include but are not limited to: Victor Wooten, James Jamison, Marcus Miller, and Jaco Pastorious. Rick has studied under and continues to learn from bass player and teacher extraordinare Mike Frost www.mcfrost.com .
Rick plays: Clifford Roi Basses; a Markbass SD 800 amp; and Brickhouse bass enclosures.
